Looking for a Wrinkle Solution? Try Botox

Millions of men and women across the globe are thinking of ways to turn back the clock on their aging skin. Whether you are in your sixties or early thirties, your wrinkles can get the best of you, adding years to your appearance. Not only this, wrinkles and other signs of aging have a tendency to make us look extremely dull and unapproachable.
In attempts to get rid of your wrinkles, you have probably used multiple skincare products such as anti-aging creams. However, these do not always work for everyone and more often than not, they don’t produce the results you wish to see.
This is where Botox comes in. A minimally invasive procedure that guarantees you a refreshed, more youthful appearance, while getting rid of your wrinkles.
What Is Botox And How Does It Work?
Botox is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that is used to remove the common signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines. It is, perhaps, the most common minimally invasive cosmetic procedure in the world. In fact, over 6 million Botox treatments are provided annually across the globe. It has been approved by the FDA for use on patients who are between 18 to 65 years old.
Botox is created from a neurotoxin known as botulinum toxin. If used in large amounts, it is one of the most poisonous substances. However, in just the right quantity, it has the ability to relax the muscles on the face.
When Botox is injected inside your skin, it goes into your muscles. Here, it blocks signals coming to your muscles from the nerves, meaning that the injected muscle is temporarily paralyzed.
Since Botox has blocked the message transmitter, this muscle does not receive the messages from your brain, telling it to contract and move. As a result, the wrinkles on your face or neck softens and relaxes.
What Is The Procedure For Receiving Botox Injections Like?
Botox is a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure, meaning that you don’t need an overnight stay in the hospital. The entire procedure takes no more than an hour, and the actual Botox treatment only takes 10 minutes or so, depending on your individual conditions, your goals, and areas of treatment. You can even get it on a lunch break and get back to your normal daily life.
You do not have to be administered anesthesia, and you will most likely experience only minimal discomfort such as a slight burning sensation or stinging sensation, like a normal injection.
Using a small needle, Botox will be injected into your skin, with the needle penetrating deep into the underlying muscles responsible for the formation of the wrinkles. In some cases, the doctor may apply a cold compress or numbing cream to help numb the concerned areas if you are especially sensitive to pain.
Who Is A Suitable Candidate For Botox?
You can be administered Botox if you identify with these:
• You are at least 18 years of age, but younger than 65 years.
• You have wrinkles and lines on your face
• You want a refreshed, youthful look
• You don’t want to go through surgery to enhance your looks
