Rain De Guzman, Practice Manager
Rain De Guzman is the Practice Manager for Cosmetic Surgery Center. He has 15 years of medical experience from clinical background to healthcare management setting. He has worked at Chesapeake regional medical center in the emergency department since 2007, his experience also consists of being an oncology research coordinator and travel nursing acquisition.
Rain graduated from Capella University with bachelor’s in healthcare management and administration. He is also an active member with The National Society of Leadership and Success, participating in conferences and continuing education.
During his free time, he loves to spoil and play with his handsome husky Bailey Alexander. Bailey keeps Rain on his toes with his energetic mood and talkative attitude. Never a dull moment in the De Guzman house.
Furthermore, Rain appreciates experiencing new restaurants with family and friends. He has and eye in fashion and scouting out the sales. He looks forward in continually providing an awesome patient experience at Cosmetic Surgery Center working alongside his exceptional team.
Maggie Gomez, Licensed Master Aesthetician
Migdalia “Maggie” Gomez is a Master Aesthetician with over 20 years of Spa & Medical Esthetics Industry experience.
Maggie loves to use education as a tool to share with all of her patients/clients. She strives to ensure they are always up to date and well versed on their skincare routine and treatments best suited for them.
Her certifications range from Esthetics to Laser Technician. Other certifications that Maggie maintains include Chemical peels, TCA peels, Blue peels. She is well educated about a variety of professional skin care lines including but not limited to: Zen Obagi, Skinceuticals, SkinMedica, Neova & SkinTyte by SkinPen.
Maggie graduated from the School of Christine Valmy – International School of Esthetics in New York City in 1999 and later continued with her education in Virginia for Cosmetology, where she graduated in 2004. Maggie continued her education by obtaining her certification as a Laser Technician in 2006, when she joined the Cosmetic Surgery Center with Dr. Joanne Lopes. She has spent the last 14 years building and maintaining relationships with her loyal clientele ever since! Esthetics is not only a career for Maggie, but her life-long passion. She loves caring for and serving her clientele at the Cosmetic Surgery Center
Gina Beninato, Surgical Assistant
Gina Beninato is the Surgical Assistant and Registered Nurse at Cosmetic Surgery Center. Gina has been working for Dr. Lopes for over 5 years. However, Gina has worked as Surgical Assistant for 28 years in various hospitals throughout Hampton Roads. Her role at Cosmetic Surgery Center includes assisting during surgery, taking care of our patients in Recovery, as well as assisting our physicians with office procedures. Gina is a native of Virginia Beach having gone to High School at First Colonial HS and Nursing School at Norfolk General School of Nursing and Eastern Virginia Medical School for Surgical Assistant training. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her beloved Great Danes and of course her Family!
Brooke Delp Weaver, Surgical Tech
Brooke Delp Weaver is the Surgical Technician at Cosmetic Surgery Center. Brooke works with the team to provide surgical care to our valued patients. With some southern charm, her role is to help you feel comfortable before, during, and after your cosmetic procedures. Brooke assists the talented surgeons during procedures so they can focus on making your cosmetic wants and dreams a reality. As the third hand for the surgeons, Brooke takes pride in helping maintain a safe and sterile environment. A local to the state of Virginia, she attended high school in Saltville Virginia. After high school, Brooke kept in this great state of Virginia to study at Radford University where she received the degree of B.S, in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Dance. Brooke has been a dancer her entire life and enjoyed many forms of dance. She attended Post undergraduate school at Miller-Motte College in Wilmington North Carolina where she studied Surgical Technology. With a passion to travel, in her free time, her favorite place to go to the world is Paris, France. In Paris, waking up and grabbing a cup of coffee with a French pastry while watching the busy city life is one of her best experiences. Paris has the food, culture, and architecture that brings me back year after year. Brooke is also the proud dog-mom to three dogs. When she has extra time, she loves shopping and visiting the beach on sunny days.
Rachel Strehle, Coolsculpting/ThermiVA
Rachel Strehle is our Coolsculpting and ThermiVA Specialist. She also assists with our marketing responsibilities, surgery and both physicians in other office procedures. Rachel is originally from Indiana but has lived in Hampton Roads since 2012. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelors in Biology from Wesleyan University and will graduate with a Bachelors in Nursing from Sentara College of Health Sciences in May of 2021. In her free time,Rachel enjoys spoiling her furbaby, Tyson, and fostering rescue puppies.
Kim Lyles, Patient Coordinator
Kim D. Lyles is the Patient Coordinator for The Cosmetic Surgery Center. She has worked for the Cosmetic Surgery Center since April 2018. Kim has been in the medical field for 35 years working in various job capacities in different specialties and states. For the last 14 years, she has focused on the Cosmetics & Plastic Surgery Specialty as both a Medical Assistant and Patient Coordinator.
Growing up with a father who served 24 years in the United States Navy, Kim had the privilege to travel the world. Not only did she see the world, but Kim met people from all different countries and walks of life. Kim was was born in Naples, Italy and her father retired in Memphis, TN. Being a military brat prepared Kim to be a military spouse. Kim met her now-husband Antonio (Tony) Lyles in Millington, TN where he was also serving in the US Navy. They transferred to Norfolk in 2001 but have resided in Virginia Beach since arriving in Virginia. Tony served 24 years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 2007 at Norfolk Air Base. Kim and Tony have been married 23 years & have raised four children together.
Some of Kim’s favorite things to do, when she is not hard at work, are meeting and talking with people, traveling, shopping, reading and singing in her church choir.
Taylor Sacco, Medical Assistant
Taylor Sacco is a Medical Assistant for Dr. Hugo and Dr. Lopes at the Cosmetic Surgery Center. Some of her roles at Cosmetic Surgery Center include assisting in the operating room, assisting during minor procedures and also assisting with administrative duties in the office. Outside of the office, Taylor is a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for the City of Virginia Beach at Station 16. Also, she is currently in school to become a Paramedic. When she is not hard at work as a Medical Assistant or EMT, she enjoys photography and spending time with her daughter and two dogs.
