Mommy Makeover Virginia Beach

Price range: Very Individualized Surgical Plan

Having a baby is a wonderful thing but pregnancy can often bring many unwanted changes to a women’s body; abdominal skin stretches, the muscles may weaken or separate, breasts increase in size during pregnancy but can “deflate” and droop after pregnancy and breast feeding. Weight fluctuations occur during and after pregnancy. You may or may not get back to that pre baby weight and look. The mommy make over can help.

Because every woman is unique, your mommy make over will be as individual as you. That is why at your consultation we will discuss your particular wants and needs. Generally speaking a mommy makeover may include breast augmentation, breast lift or reduction, breast lift with augmentation, tummy tuck, and or liposuction. Most mommy make over procedures can be done at the same time such as breast augmentation and tummy tuck.

Before any breast surgery, it is important that you have discontinued breast feeding. It is also ideal to be at a stable weight.

Recovery from a mommy make over will depend on what your mommy make over entails. There are some basic instructions you will follow to help with your recovery. These include arranging for help from a family member or friend after the procedure for at least 24 hours. It is important to get up and move around but avoid any heavy lifting or pulling. Most strenuous exercise will need to wait for four weeks but walking is fine and is encouraged.

Most women can return to work, school, etc after two weeks of recovery but this will depend on you and the type of job or activity you may want to resume. Rest assured that we will assist you in all aspects of your post-operative recovery.

Finally as with any surgical procedure, there are always certain risks involved and may include bleeding, infection, poor wound healing, unfavorable scarring, anesthesia risks, deep vein thrombosis, the possibility of revision surgery, disappointment and unsatisfactory results.
